Review 2019 – and a Happy New Year 2020!

The year 2019 was exciting for StadtFarm, sometimes exhausting, but above all full of beautiful moments that we remember with pleasure.

AquaTerraPonik in trockenen Ländern

The first step was the visit of the Australian Minister of Agriculture David Littleproud in January. It was an initial spark for us to think more intensively about the issue of water scarcity in other countries. Subsequently, this year we had several discussions with investors from different corners of the world, where AquaTerraPonik could make a real difference because our relatively low water demand makes cultivation possible in the first place.

Pleasure with a clear conscience as standard

Many great press reports have accompanied us throughout the year, one highlight was certainly the “Sendung mit der Maus” in April, but also dpa, FAZ and many more have published really nice articles about us. Our goal and claim is to be the leader in what really well done Smart Urban Farming stands for – and to shape the discourse about it. After all, food must make and keep both the planet and people healthy, and meet the needs of consumers – all of us – for nutrients and tasty proteins in a way that we can enjoy with a clear conscience. Too rarely does agriculture meet these needs today.

Interaction with thousands of people

We had the pleasure of welcoming a few dozen of our customers in workshops on fish preparation, supplying others at market parties – and of course thousands of you came to visit us in the farm shop, at the market or on guided tours, which we have been offering not only in German since autumn. You can also enjoy our fish in more and more great restaurants, from the Novotel on Fischerinsel to the taproom in Prenzlauer Berg to the star cuisine at Clinton’s in Hoppegarten.

The year 2020 will again bring many exciting new developments and learning experiences, which we are already looking forward to. Come into the New Year, all of you, good and healthy! And if you have good intentions: come and visit us even more often! 🙂
